TheCarolina Panthershave reportedly parted ways with a defender ahead of this weekend's rookie minicamp.
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the team isreleasinglinebacker Jacoby Windmon. The 24-year-old has spent parts of the last two seasons with Carolina.
The Marrero, La. native and Michigan State University product cracked into the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024. He'd be signed off their practice squad by the Panthers later that year, in mid-October.

In his pair of seasons with the Panthers, Windmon recorded 22 combined tackles, a sack and a half and two passes defensed over nine games. He also made two starts as a rookie in 2024.
