Phil Mickelson will make his LIV Golf season debut this week in South Africa.
HyFlyers GC confirmed the return of its captain Monday with a post on social media: "Cap is Back."
Mickelson, 55, missed the first four events of the 2026 season due to an undisclosed family health matter.

The LIV Golf tournament in South Africa, the league's first event on the continent, begins Thursday at The Club at Steyn City in Johannesburg.
Before the confirmation of Mickelson's return, there was speculation that he might miss next month's Masters. The six-time major winner is a three-time champion at Augusta National (2004, 2006 and 2010).
He missed the cut last season in three of four majors, with his only finish at T56 at The Open Championship.
