The infamous fraudster mastermind behind Fyre Festival, Billy McFarland, faced fresh backlash on Monday after boldly revealing his plans for the event's comeback. McFarland, 33, was jailed for four years after guests paid up to $13,000 on the promise of a lavish experience at the original Fyre Festival in 2017 - only to find cheese sandwiches, no toilets, and bare mattresses in emergency relief tents. He announced plans for a redo after his release from jail in 2022 and, on Monday, finally revealed its location and date, with tickets ranging in price from $1,400 to $1.
