Six German track cyclists are rushed to hospital after head-on collision with car driven by an 89-year-old man
Six members of the German cycling team have been hospitalised after an 89-year-old drove a car head-on into the group. The country's endurance track team, including 2024 track world championship medalists Benjamin Boos and Bruno Kessler, were on a training run in Mallorca when they were hit by a car. The elderly driver told the police that he had not seen seen the group and was distracted. Spanish news service Ultima Hora report that he tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
