Newcastle United hold talks with 18-year-old Spanish starlet over free transfer with Malaga winger's contract up in the summer

Newcastle have held talks with Malaga winger Antonio Cordero over a pre-contract agreement. The 18-year-old's contract with the second division club expires this summer. Cordero, nicknamed Antonito, made his debut for Malaga in 2023 and has become a regular starter this season. He has caught the eye in Spain for his impact at La Rosaleda, scoring four goals and setting up another six this season. The 5ft 10in star bounced around various clubs in his youth career including Sevilla and Real Betis before landing at Malaga.
