Rugby league icon Phil Gould has posted a classy tribute to Paul 'Fatty' Vautin after the NRL funny man announced his retirement from television, bringing to an end a 33-year broadcasting career. The former Maroons and Manly forward said he made up his mind up about retiring towards the end of the NRL season. 'I'm 65, and I've run out of petrol,' Vautin told The Sydney Morning Herald. 'When I think about my life I have to say it's all been a surprise; the television career, my football career.

This came after she and former TOWIE star Essex had enjoyed a holiday romance in 2023. But according to The Sun, Jackson has moved on and has been on multiple dates with Rashford, 27, around the Cheshire area over the past few months.

Another headache for Nicky Henderson but, after two weeks of turbulence, this one was welcome — when brilliance introduces itself, there can never be reason to complain. Henderson was here at Newbury on Saturday, for Coral Gold Cup day, but was understandably distracted by events 300 miles away in Newcastle. Plenty was riding on how Sir Gino fared in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle and the trainer's puff of the cheeks as his horse crossed the line in splendid isolation spoke volumes.

Manchester United's cost-cutting measures are putting the safety of their disabled supporters at risk, according to concerned fans. Dave Wood, a wheelchair user, told he is 'genuinely terrified' about what would happen in the event of an emergency after club stewards were replaced with agency staff at Old Trafford. The 47-year-old, who sits in the disabled section along with around 90 others at the top of the Stretford End, has claimed that standards have dropped alarmingly – and that the two lifts that take impaired supporters down to ground level are no longer manned, in what he feels is a serious safety breach.
