Kim joked: 'Our concern is that there shall be hoards of people visiting to see the famous WOLS, it can turn into a Penge vacationer attraction like Barnard fort.'
Meanwhile, residents in a group Facebook group questioned whether or not the spelling was intentional or a mistake.
Some requested if it was 'for testing your eyesight?' or 'testing when you can read back to front'.
While another wrote: 'Owls down – it might all wrok uot advantageous within the edn.'
In April final yr street staff managed to, somewhat embarrassingly, spell the word 'SCHOOL' wrong outdoors Llangyfelach Main in Swansea.
As an alternative of writing 'SCHOOL' on the tarmac, they wrote 'SHCOOL'.
However they weren't the first, the yr earlier than contractors painted the identical incorrect spelling outdoors Portslade Aldridge Group Academy in Brighton.
