A FAMILY has been left distraught after their nine-month-old pup suffered multiple injuries after falling down a 20ft open water drain. Though Yorkshire Water has offered to cover some of the vet bills, Emily said more needs to be come to bring them to account. Emily's partner had taken Milo out after her young son, 3 \- who suffers from epilepsy \- stayed home after experiencing a seizure. Emily has blasted Yorkshire Water after they offered her a meagre £250 to cover Milo's pet insurance excess before upping it to £500. She's concerned Milo's injuries could resurface in the future and his injured leg could worsen as he gets older given that breed of dog is prone to leg problems. Emily said she would have accepted the offer had it been ...set in stone that he 'Milo ' would be looked after.... She said: ...It is not about the money for me. I want some accountability. It should not have happened in the first place.... She said Milo is recovering but isn't ...the same dog he was 48 hours ago.... ...I can feel the anxiety from him, when normally he's such a carefree pup.... A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: ...We were sorry to hear about the incident involving Milo and are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding it. ...While the circumstances of the incident remain unclear, we have offered to pay Emily's pet insurance excess and an additional payment as a gesture of goodwill. ...We have also offered to consider any future veterinary costs for Milo that may arise as a result of this incident. "Emily has decided not to accept this offer and is intending to take legal action, so we will not be able to comment any further."
