Legendary boxing commentator opens up on heartbreaking cancer battle that left him 'four days away from death'
Adam Smith has opened up on his heart-breaking health issues, after he was diagnosed with an 'aggressive' form of bladder cancer in 2023. The 'Voice of Boxing' had a CT scan and a biopsy which revealed a large tumour in his bladder wall. He was told that he was 'about four days' away from death, as doctors feared that his kidneys would fail. A six-hour emergency operation saw 19 lymph nodes removed from his body, as well as his bladder and prostrate.
