On an episode of the All of the Smoke podcast, McAfee referred to as his comments from final month "only a warning shot to I assumed an individual that was at the similar [level]."
"I report on to [ESPN president] Jimmy [Pitaro] and [Disney CEO] Bob [Iger]," McAfee stated.
"I saw [media reporting] 'Pat calls out his boss.' I don't obtained a motherf***ing boss. We talking Jimmy Pitaro or Bob Iger?
"Like, is that who we're speaking about? As a result of these are individuals that would technically be described as my boss."
McAfee repeated the record of points he claimed to have with Williamson earlier in his career like being stood up and having to attend almost an hour for a meeting.
"That man was not a fan of me or our operation for a very long time," stated McAfee.
McAfee also stated that The Pat McAfee Show getting the midday slot on ESPN divided individuals inside the community who weren't keen on his arrival.
He stated it felt like he was at conflict inside the company.
McAfee did show regret for a way his statements drew a lot attention from fans and the media.
"I genuinely didn't anticipate it to get as huge because it did because I didn't assume I stated anything that was like that crazy," McAfee stated.
