A British vacationer has died after jumping from a bridge in Australia and hitting his head.

The man in his 30s died on Sunday in Noosa Sound, Queensland, while taking turns leaping into the water from the bridge with pals.

After failing to emerge from the water, his buddies launched a search and contacted emergency providers.

His physique was recovered round 5 hours later with the assistance of an area boat operator.

Police stated: 'A search and rescue operation was launched with police divers locating the physique of the man around 6am.'
