Two flytippers have been arrested after a gaggle of villagers blocked their vans as they dumped piles of rubbish on the aspect of a rustic lane.
Pictures showed the moment Warwickshire Police officers seized white vans on the sting of Meriden, because of quick-thinking locals.
Villagers used their automobiles to barricade the vans as they unloaded waste on Maxstoke Lane on the Packington Estate.
The newest blockade comes 12 years after residents tried to cease an unlawful traveller website on the sting of the village by camping on the street for more than 600 days.
It's understood final Wednesday's blockade – just one mile from their last protest – didn't final fairly so long as police arrived minutes after receiving a 999 name.
Police stated the incident was 'a number of the worst flytipping we had seen in a long time'.
A pressure statement stated: 'We attended the Packington Estate on Maxstone Lane close to Meriden to a report of two vans flytipping.
'We attended in help of North Warwickshire Local Policing officers who had been referred to as to the scene after native residents and staff on the property had blocked the offenders in.
'On arrival we discovered a few of the worse flytipping we had seen in a long time. We detained two males who have been instructed to reload the two vans with all the rubbish dumped.
'We supervised them cleaning up their mess and enjoyed a fantastic cup of tea and slice of hand-crafted cake courtesy of the farmer's wife. No cake and tea for these two offenders.'
Two males have been detained and ordered to reload their again up with garbage, with the vans then being seized underneath the Environmental Act.
A police spokesperson stated: 'Cleansing up the outcomes of flytipping is the duty of the native council and members of the public who discover incidents of fly-tipping ought to report it to them instantly.
'Officers from the Warwickshire Rural Crime Workforce also attended the scene and have now taken on the investigation and prosecution case.'
