The family of a dad and 17-month-old woman who have been killed in a horror crash say they 'can't start to elucidate' the ache they really feel.
David Beckett, 50, and his daughter died when the white Land Rover Discovery they have been travelling in collided with a Mini Cooper after which a tree on Sunday.
Emergency providers rushed to the incident in the village of Tarleton, Lancashire, shortly before 8.30am but they have been both pronounced lifeless on the scene.
'We can't begin to elucidate how much pain and unhappiness we feel,' the household stated in a press release issued on social media.
'However the kindness and love we've been surrounded by helps us to get via.
'We might sincerely wish to thanks for the unwavering help you might have offered to our household during this horrendous time.'
Floral tributes have been laid at the scene and one read: 'I'm deeply sorry for the loss of such a lovely husband and daddy. You're all the time in our ideas, deeply missed perpetually.'
Sgt Matt Davidson, of Lancashire Constabulary's critical collision investigation unit stated: 'These are terribly sad and tragic circumstances that have resulted in a man, and a young woman dropping their lives. Our ideas are very much with their loved ones at this awful time.'
Police additionally urged anyone who witnessed the smash or has dashcam or CCTV footage from Hesketh Lane and surrounding areas from Sunday morning to get in touch.
Sgt Davidson added: 'We consider that there are individuals who might have witnessed the collision, or the white Land Rover Discovery in the moments beforehand, that we've got not yet spoken to.
'If that's you, or you understand somebody who might have witnessed this collision, please get in contact.'
The household added: 'Thanks to everyone, you help us greater than you understand. Take care of each other, look after your families.
