Given that the Indiana Fever guard's rise in popularity has made her more vulnerable to safety concerns, Cunningham has decided to up the ante when it comes to protecting herself.

On Monday's episode of the "No Hesitation" podcast, Cunningham shared her plans regarding her personal security:

"Definitely, in certain places, people kinda knew who I was. I couldn't really go anywhere. Now, it doesn't matter what state or what city. It's everywhere. So, I definitely hired security. And they're going to start traveling with me next week, 24/7."

Cunningham, who has gone viral for things like her finger-pointing meme and her appearance as a ring girl at UFC 329, admitted that this could disrupt the rhythm of her everyday activities:

"It just kind of stops you from your routine, and you have to find a balance of getting away, making sure that you're filling up your own cup, and doing what you're supposed to. So, when you're out, you're able to give people your best energy."

While Cunningham's appearances in nonbasketball events have significantly increased over the past several months, the safety concerns have risen proportionately as well. In June, a 48-year-old Indiana man was charged with stalking Cunningham and harassing her on social media.

On the "No Hesitation" podcast, Sophie Cunningham and her co-host, Drew Hanlen, discussed Angel Reese's struggles in the latter games of the WNBA Finals.

According to Cunningham, Reese's ability to finish layups was a difference maker for the Atlanta Dream, who came up short against the Golden State Valkyries in Game 7.

"We literally talked about this, that she was killing, that she was looking like the MVP because of the consistency of her making her layups. She gets these shots all the time. She is tall. She is strong. … It's as if the focus is there to finish the shots. That's always been the name of the game for her."

Hanlen, a performance coach who has worked with multiple NBA stars, added that Reese needs to continue working on her layups this summer, along with the effort she puts into her 3-point shot and her free throws.
