The moment occurred on Sunday, Dec. 14, ahead of the Patriots' game against the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. Hollins, 32, could be seen entering the stadium sans shoes and a shirt amid light snowfall.

Temperatures at the stadium were around 32 degrees and were predicted to go below zero, perThe Weather Channel.

Hollins explained his penchant for going barefoot during a press conference back in March, sharing that he believes there are holistic benefits to training without shoes.

"I guess it started when I was a little kid, but restarted about six to seven years ago," he said during the press conference, perCBS Boston. "I met some trainers called Melbourne Muscular Therapy in Australia. I flew them from Australia to Philly. They showed up, and the way you look at me is the way I was looking at them. They were walking around Philly barefoot. I thought they might have sent the wrong guys out here."

He continued, "But that was their philosophy,being barefootand getting back to your original ways of movement. That grew into me training barefoot all the time for two or three years."

This isn't the first time that Hollins has turned heads with a distinct game-day look. In January, he arrived at Highmark Stadium in the Buffalo suburb of Orchard Park, N.Y., for a matchup against the Denver Broncos dressed in a fullFred Flintstone costume.

Hollins, who was playing for the Bills at the time, went barefoot and sported a blue necktie and a short-sleeve, leopard-print loincloth with a jagged hemline. He completed the outfit with a Bills-branded furry horned hat.

Hollins began his NFL career in 2017 with thePhiladelphia Eaglesand has played on several teams since then, including the Miami Dolphins and Las Vegas Raiders. He signed a two-year, $8.4 million contract with the Patriots in March.
