Referees' chiefs provide update on David Coote after he was suspended for calling Jurgen Klopp a 'German ****' on video before clip of him allegedly snorting a white powder emerged
An investigation into suspended referee David Coote remains ongoing. PGMOL (the body responsible for refereeing games in England) say they are taking claims against the 42-year-old, who was alleged to have called former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp a 'German ****' and the Anfield club 's***', 'very seriously'. The refs' body is also looking into a video of a man alleged to be Coote snorting a white powder in a hotel room during last summer's Euros, at which he officiated.
