United States women's soccer legend Alex Morgan is retiring from the sport, she announced on social media Thursday morning. Her sudden retirement is due to becoming pregnant with her second child, per The Athletic. She will play in her final professional game on Sunday for the NWSL's San Diego Wave against the North Carolina Courage. Morgan, 35, finishes her career with 224 appearances for the US national team, scoring 123 goals, the fifth-best all-time.
