HUMZA Yousaf vowed the SNP will fight on after a "tough" week.
The First Minister told of his "shock" after ex-chief exec Peter Murrell was charged with alleged embezzlement.
But he told around 2,000 pro-indy supporters yesterday after a march through Glasgow city centre: "The last 48 hours have been tough.
"They've been a bit of a shock for some in the movement, those in the SNP.
"But let me say this much, we can't always choose what happens to us in life but what we can choose is how we react."
Mr Yousaf asked the crowd if they'd give up when obstacles were thrown in their way, then added: "Or are you going to fight for what you believe in?"
And he scoffed at claims the independence movement was "finished".
Mr Murrell, hubby of ex-First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, is accused of allegedly embezzling indy campaign funds.
We told previously how Ms Sturgeon broken her silence on Friday.
Blinds were drawn at Ms Sturgeon's Uddingston property and there was no sign of any movement this morning.
The former First Minister later emerged around lunchtime to speak to the media, dressed in black leggings and a pink gym top.
Speaking outside her home for the first time, the former First Minister was approached by journalists.
She said: "There is absolutely nothing I can say given the circumstances.
"I'm now going to go for a walk if that alright with you.

"There is nothing going to be happening here."
She was asked if it was a difficult time for her personally.
She responded: "It's incredibly difficult, but that's not the main issue.
"I can't say anymore, I'm not going to say any more."
