As Mashable's Kristy Puchko points out, Babes, a forthcoming movie by Better Issues' Pamela Adlon, is helmed by "a trio of badass comediennes." Adlon, who makes her function directorial debut, enlisted Survival of the Thickest's Michelle Buteau and Broad City's Ilana Glazer for her movie about childhood greatest pals navigating adulthood and motherhood.
The comedy, co-written by Glazer and Josh Rabinowitz, is the newest in the feminine friendship style, and seems poised to entertain. Daybreak (Buteau) and Eden (Glazer) have been with one another by way of it all: profession ups-and-downs, marriage, babies, the works. When Eden discovers that she's pregnant after a one-night-stand, their friendship turns into extra essential than ever.
Babes opens in theaters Might 17.
