More than 500,000 users reported Instagram, Fb, and Messenger outages starting round 10:08 am EST to Down Detector. Stories spiked at 10:30 am EST. Down Detector is owned by ZiffDavis, Mashable's father or mother firm. There are over 24,000 posts on Twitter / X concerning the Fb and Instagram outage.
Reactions on X (previously Twitter) vary from outrage to jokes concerning the grim actuality that we'd should "touch grass."

Other reactions identified the mass exodus to X to verify if the opposite widespread websites have been down. Given X's history of coping with spikes in visitors, some are involved that X will not last long into the day both.
