An easyJet aircraft ended up having to vary course after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.
The flight had taken off from Inverness before 6.40 in Scotland to London Gatwick, was diverted to Manchester.
The passenger had heart points, a spokesperson from the airline advised the Mirror and was 'feeling unwell', so it was determined that the aircraft should land in Manchester as a 'precaution'.
It had taken off at just earlier than 6.40am.
An easyJet spokesperson stated: 'We will affirm that flight& EZY846& from Inverness to London Gatwick this morning was required to divert to Manchester as a result of a passenger onboard requiring urgent medical consideration.
'The passenger was met in Manchester by medical providers and the flight will proceed to Gatwick this morning. The security and wellbeing of our clients and crew is all the time easyJet's highest priority.'
