A BOXING champion raped a younger mum in her rest room as her youngsters slept just ft away, a courtroom has heard.
Commonwealth gold medalist Scott Fitzgerald, 32, is claimed to have attacked the woman following an evening of consuming in April 2020.
The previous British title-holder is accused of exposing himself to her in the kitchen before following her to the toilet.
Jurors at Preston Crown Court heard the boxer then pushed her over the sink and the bathtub and raped her.
Richard Haworth, prosecuting, informed the courtroom: "She was begging him to cease.
"She was definitely upset – she felt scared."
The jury heard that, after she managed to push him off, Fitzgerald stated: "Oh my God, I'm so sorry."
It is alleged he then followed her downstairs and continued to apologise for what he had finished.
Earlier than he left the home, he allegedly warned her if she stated anything about what had occurred "no-one would consider her as a result of it was her word towards his".
The alleged victim broke down as she advised jurors she's nonetheless haunted four years on.
Giving evidence from behind a display, she informed the courtroom: "It's been 4 years.& All I can keep in mind is what happened in that loo because it can by no means depart my head."
The alleged incident is claimed to have taken place between 6.30am and 7am in April 2020.&
Fitzgerald was considered one of four males consuming on the home, whereas the alleged victim's youngsters slept upstairs.&
The courtroom heard two males ultimately left, and Fitzgerald gave the other man £40 to exit and purchase cocaine.
Mr Haworth, prosecuting, added: "It was during that time period that the Crown says the defendant raped her, when the 2 of them have been the only adults in the home."
In a video interview with police, the lady stated she was within the kitchen with Fitzgerald when he began talking about intercourse and asking her for sex.&
He uncovered himself and informed her to touch him, which she refused, the jury heard.&
