Villagers dwelling close by at the moment are demanding the council go further than its plan to ban motorhomes and camper vans from the seashore street.

Locals need the ban to also cover caravans, which also have chemical bogs and have bee staying on the 450m Seashore Street.

Carey Clark, from Salthouse Parish Council, advised the Eastern Daily Press: "The parish council wouldn't wish to see caravans on Seashore Street both.& Nevertheless, this hasn't been such a problem as camper vans or motor houses.

"There was one instance last yr the place there was a caravan on the street for some weeks, and we wouldn't need to see that repeated this summer time."

The Salthouse Marshes are a 160-acre nature reserve that may be a grazing marsh and has small swimming pools.

Birds similar to snow buntings, little egrets, and barn owls might be discovered there.

One local stated: "It takes a special sort of moron to assume dumping chemical waste right into a beauty spot waterway is a good suggestion, self entitled."

Another stated: "Sadly the filthy and entitled habits of some motorhome customers tar all of us with the identical brush.

"I've witnessed plenty of it during my travels with my very own motorhome, especially around Scotland, the place the NC500 has develop into notably notorious for clandestine – and typically even blatant – waste-dumping. There's completely no excuse."

A spokesperson for Norfolk County Council stated: "Over the previous yr the number of motorhomes parking in a single day along Seashore Street has grown significantly, with the quantity of automobiles and their influence now creating dangers for street customers.

"After considerations have been raised by Salthouse Parish Council, we've spoken with our companions at the Parish and District Councils in addition to Norfolk Police and are proposing this TRO as a approach of addressing the difficulty.

"The aim of this Order is to enhance safety along Seashore Street and we might welcome the feedback from any street users who're accustomed to the world and will share their views of how a brand new restriction on in a single day ready of motor caravans might influence security for all street customers."
