4 boys aged between 12 and 14 have been arrested on suspicion of rape.
Larger Manchester Police have been referred to as at 6pm on Saturday night time to Newbold Metrolink station in Rochester, Larger Manchester, close to a Morrisons supermarket.
Four suspects, one boy aged 12, one aged 13 and two aged 14, have been arrested on suspicion of rape and are at present in police custody.
The victim, a female baby, is being supported by specialist officers.
A swathe of land has been cordoned off by police and a forensics tent has been put up whereas the pressure investigates.
A spokesman for Higher Manchester Police told the Manchester Evening News: 'At round 6pm on Saturday, officers have been referred to as to stories of a rape in Newbold, Rochdale.
